Well, how bad did we do? Another 2/3 for podium hits so we're still tracking some reasonable results. Also, we picked Antonelli and he ended up 3rd and Russell won - so hardly a horrible call.

The flip/flop on Hadjar and Gasley feels like a bigger miss, and I think the model probably over values Gasley's Monaco win and Hadjars Miami results, because if you look at the trend, Hadjar probably should have come out where he landed.

Perhaps most disappointing was the LeClerc results. I was hopeful the model was really wrong considering the performance upgrades Ferrari were supposed to bring to Austria. Looking at both Ferrari drives... I have to ask, what upgrades?

It looks like Charles is still pretty skittish under braking compared to Hamilton. The official line is that Charles switched to Carbon Industries discs like Lewis, but I could have sworn I heard that it was just an upgraded Brembo discs. At any rate, it appears Lewis is able to brake later and extend straights in ways Charles can't and that allows him to defend and attack for position. There is nearly nothing in the median lap times, and Charles did squeak out a fast later by 3/10ths.

Cadillac's brake ducts and Sainz's car just shutting down compound misery for both teams. Reliability DNFs are just to frequent and frankly, not entertaining. Even if you hate Cadillac and Williams, it's much more satisfying to watch your drive of choice beat them in a competitive race rather than passing under VSC.
